Today, scholars are armed with the so much proven data, it’s inconceivable to me how they can completely ignore or overlook the basic natural laws and principles of nature and believe that they include some means by which they can destroy themselves. Not only is it scientifically impossible, it is irrational.

Voltaire said that “it is dangerous to be right in matters on which the accepted authorities are wrong.” If that be the case, all our physics books are obsolete. The basic laws and principles that control and govern the universe are completely impersonal and are no more subject to debate than the fact that “4” belongs at the end of “2 + 2.”  Natural laws work simply because they exist. They do so without any help from you or me. They are scientific in that they are “the operation of laws and facts subject to proof…not speculation, conjecture or any assumption without proof.” (Webster)

The intelligence of today has replaced the relative ignorance of days gone by. I’ve lived through lots of “predictions of doom.” I’m still around so they had to be “speculation and conjecture.” The current projection for “the end of times” is in the year 2012. Apparently, most modern day “scientists” cannot accept the fact that there is no matter universe to be destroyed! I can accept the caveat that phrases our annihilation as, “the end of the world as we know it.”

If we really think about it, the only thing that can be destroyed is ignorance. My “world” of last week has been “destroyed” because what I didn’t know then, I do know now.

On Jan. 1, 2013, we will celebrate another New Year. Trust me!

Here we go again.  More disturbing economic times and predictions of more to come, mortgage foreclosures, unemployment at a critical stage and  more talk about  “bailouts”.  All this is being supported by super big numbers like billions, hundreds or even a thousand billion; even a million million, which is a trillion.  These numbers are mind-boggling and cannot be fully comprehended within our puny human minds.  They are not “things”, they are CONCEPTS, which Webster defines as “mental images apart from an object (dollars)”. 

Let’s face it, there is no way you or I are going to personally influence the bailout plans of the economic gurus in Washington. But you and I CAN do something about it.

Washington economists are busy with their bailout plans based on abstract concepts, not reality.    The reality is, as Dr. Einstein told us, “No problem can be solved from within the same consciousness that create it.  We must learn to see the world anew”.

To see the world anew, means that we you and I, personally, must reject the “idea” of lack and limitation and supplant it with the idea of its opposite: infinity.

 “Infinity”, by definition, is “that which is limitless, boundless, endless and greater than any pre-assigned finite value however great” (Webster).  “…greater than any pre-assigned finite value (dollars) however great”!

Anything finite is simply the unawareness or ignorance of that which is infinite.  The universe is infinite: “The whole body of things observed or assumed including the whole without limit or exception and accruing everywhere”(Webster).  Infinity and limitation cannot coexist because they are opposites, which are defined by Webster as “elements that are so far apart and diverse as to be totally irreconcilable one to the other”.  Where one is true, the other must be false.

This understanding doesn’t take place “out there” in a world defined by limited parameters and self-destructive characteristics.  You can experience nothing outside your own personal conscious awareness.  To change your experience you must change the focus and conviction of your thinking.

This will establish the proper mindset which Webster tells us, is “a mental attitude that determine and influences events and circumstances”… that which is the substance of everything that comprises our individual life experiences.

I know how abstract and impractical this sounds, it is an unorthodox, radical departure from the norm.  But lest you think this is some abstract fantasy of a guy living in never-never land, let me assure you that I have proven these truths personally and as a professional problem solver and creative consultant to a widely diverse client base for more than 50 years. 

By diligently adhering to these principles and expecting the unexpected, you will find the events and circumstances of your life experiences adjusting in such a way that whatever is needed will appear in some, often unexpected, natural way.  You will find yourself in the right place at the right time under the right circumstances.  The events and circumstances of your experience will unfold as naturally as the sun rises in the morning because you will have yielded yourself to natural laws and principles (defined by Webster as, “the creative and controlling forces of the universe”.)  You will experience these laws and principles in proportion to your disciplined adherence to them and

your total rejection of any concept that would challenge them.

The integrity of these “controlling forces of the universe” cannot be successfully challenged, denied, circumvented, circumvented or modified.  They are in full operation right here, right now.  The need only be recognized and accepted.  It is the law.

Adherence to these principles has been a way of life for my wife and me for more than 50 years.  For example, in seemingly miraculous ways we could not possibly anticipated, we were removed from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.  We lost everything but found that whatever was needed was supplied in the form of lodging, clothes, money, the right steps to take at the right time, transportation and a new home in New England.  We  experienced new harmonious “events and circumstances” beyond anything we could possibly have imagined.

You, personally, cannot go to Washington and “bail out” those who, by adhering to false principles, have created chaos.  But you can bail yourself out of any discordant situation by separating yourself from adverse outside influences, setting your own standards and yielding control to the universe whose sole purpose is to sustain and maintain its, and your, unchallenged balance and well being independent of any “outside” influences. 

As difficult as it may be, we must depart from tradition procedures that don‘t work and “see the world anew” based on proven scientific principles that do work. This approach is bound to provoke questions that demand answers. 

These are trying times and nobody should be victimized by world events.   Freedom is

as natural to you as wet is to water; it is the law!  You have a personal obligation get the right answers and prove this for yourself.  You will be under no obligation if you feel you would benefit by contacting me and letting me answer any questions you might have.

So where does that leave you and me? Is our only option to sit back and be unwilling victims of situations over which we have no control?

Let’s get real! Do you think for one minute that you or I, as individuals, no matter how intensely we may feel about what we are told of world conditions, that we are going to be invited to the world’s seat of authority to influence the world economy, the energy crisis, fear of destruction by terrorists or the bone-head decisions made by those in authority? Never! Our individual reaction to world conditions reaches no further than our own personal feelings.

However, when we know how, we, individually, CAN exercise control over these feelings and prosper in spite of declining world conditions. We can be like a bird who has taken refuge in a protected shelter above the turmoil of a raging river’s storm-tossed fury. We can observe the storm but remain untouched by it.

And the beauty of it is that no matter who is elected President and no matter what policies a new administration enacts, we can still be our own individual selves in control of our individual life experiences. We can do this in proportion to our focused, disciplined adherence to the natural laws and principles that comprise and sustain the order and perfect rhythm of the flawless universe of which we are an inexorable part.

From Galileo to Einstein, the world’s clear thinkers have been telling us how to find the solutions to our problems, the answers to our questions, the resolutions of our conflicts, the peace in our hearts and the stability in our lives. They tell us that we must look within our own conscious awareness. It behooves us to listen to them. To accept this as simply an intellectual truism is not enough. In and of itself, it is just another academic abstraction and “feel good” exercise.

To make it work in our experience, we must push the “activate” button. We must totally reject any and all suggestions that would oppose or challenge the integrity of our true identity as the perfect, complete, balanced representatives of the universe which is “the whole without limit or exception” (Webster)

Maintaining this mindset, any discordant picture will automatically adjust to conform to the natural harmony and balance of the universe. With this mindset, we can no more experience discord than Columbus could fall off the edge of a flat world!

The world thrives on one crisis after another.  When one crisis has run its course, news people come up others to take its place.  This is as predictable as the sunrise.

This kind of “news” brings out all the gurus, self-appointed “experts”, analysts and “preachers of doom” only too willing to share their views on any given subject.  However articulate they may be, seldom, if ever, do they offer any viable solution to the problem.  And if they do, it is immediately challenged with hostility and rejection.

Is there a real solution?  Of course there is!  It has been articulated by serious thinkers throughout history but nobody is listening.   In more recent times, it has been presented by Dr. Einstein when he noted that, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.  We must learn to see the world anew”.

Every problem, every crisis, every conflict, whether personal, professional, corporate, national or international can only be resolved by this self-evident rule. However difficult it may seem, the law demands that we see the troubled world from a completely opposite point of view.  The opposite of chaos, turmoil and discord is harmony, balance and perpetual well being.

Where does all this take place?  Think about it.  The only PLACE it can occur is in your conscious awareness.  Your experiences take place within you; they are not a “something” that occurs externally “out there” somewhere.  This is your “mindset” which, by definition, “determines and influences events and circumstances” (Webster).

This new, opposite world is embodied in the universe, which is defined by Webster as,

“The whole body of things observed or assumed; including the whole without limit or exception; accruing everywhere”.  There is no room for chaos, confusion or conflict here!

QUESTION: The infinite universe, being the only reality, wherein does this “thing” they call a “crisis” come from?

ANSWER:  It doesn’t come from anywhere; it is merely the unawareness or absence of the answer.  It can have no more real existence than a counterfeit dollar bill can have without there being a genuine dollar bill to be a counterfeit of.

What is termed a “crisis” is only the absence or unawareness of the answer.  It is an illusory, misinterpretation of the harmony and balance already in full operation in the universe of which we are an inexorable part.  In reality, the only way we can experience this illusory “thing” they call a crisis is to accept it as real.  To the degree that we can separate ourselves from it and identify ourselves with the “controlling forces of the universe without limit or exception”,  can we prove it in the “events and circumstances” that comprise our life experiences.

This is more than a nice comfortable philosophical, abstract or academic statement.  It is the LAW!  “Law” is defined by Webster as, “A rule or principle that always works and is enforced by a governing authority”.

Living up here in New Hampshire this time of year, I observe the operation of the laws governing the universe every day as the trees change their colors.  I note, too, that the operation of these laws and principles, “the creative and controlling forces of the universe” (Webster), are no more influenced or directed by any man-made “laws”, legislation or government regulation than the sunrise.

All I can do is to be an impersonal observer of the perfect, uninterrupted rhythm of the universe.  From this perspective, all the utterances of the “bad news pundits” have no more power or authority over my world than the belief that 2 + 2 = 6.

Is there a viable “solution“? Of course there is because in a universe that has been sustained by natural laws and principles (“the creative and controlling forces of the universe”. Webster) in perpetuity, imbalance is as unknown as darkness is to light.

Throughout the centuries, there have been countless scholars who have recognized the answer to this dilemma. Not the least of these was Dr. Einstein who summed it up by noting that “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. We must learn to see the world anew”. This truth is ignored by our decision makers.

However difficult it may seem, the law demands that we see the troubled world from a completely opposite point of view. Webster defined “opposites” as “elements that are so far apart and diverse as to be totally irreconcilable to the other”. One is true and the other, its opposite, is false. The negative idea of economic collapse must be rejected, reversed and seen as a fictitious illusion. It must be replaced with its opposite and be in conformity to universal law as embodied in “the controlling forces of the universe”, ie financial security and balanced perfection.

Where does this positive mindset take place? It is a self-evident fact that we can only be aware of that which is in our individual conscious awareness. YOU are the only one who can resolve any problem; and you must do it by restructuring YOUR mindset to “see the world anew”. “Mindset” is defined by Webster as, “A fixed way of thinking; that which determines and influences events and circumstances”. Your total life experiences are defined by “events and circumstances” which reflect your mindset., not that of some “outside” influence.

I realize that this is a radical departure from traditional, accepted perspectives, but I have proven its viability in my more than 50 years as a professional problem solver to the benefit of a widely diverse client base. It was Voltaire who said, “It is dangerous to right in matters on which accepted authorities are wrong” but facts are facts, proof is proof and universal natural laws and principles cannot be successfully challenged, altered, modified or circumvented.

Success, prosperity, freedom and pressure-free life experiences are already a natural to you as wet is to water. You can prove this when you do as Galileo advised and “find it within yourself”.

We live in a world where every situation is challenged by some implied OPPOSITE. Webster defines “OPPOSITES” as, “elements that are so far apart and diverse as to be totally irreconcilable”. Dare to accept this natural law of opposites where “true” and “false” cannot be justified to each other. Only one can be true.

This true perspective cancels the old discordant interpretation of reality. It reveals the omnipresence of natural laws and principles that are defined by Webster as, “the creative and controlling forces of the universe”. These forces, by their very nature and definition, cannot include any idea of economic imbalance, chaos or corruption. They operate in perpetuity independent of all negative beliefs that would oppose them.

I know how abstract and impractical this seems, and we ask ourselves, “What about the national debt, mass unemployment, corruption, violence at all levels of society, the apparent collapse of the judicial system, and on and on and on”? What about them? Because they cannot, by law, be justified to the true nature of the “controlling forces of the universe”, they are, by definition, artificial, fraudulent, unreal appearances and have no more substance and reality than the flat world or the appearance of railroad tracks converging on the horizon.

We can choose to reject any concept that would challenge these natural laws and principles and embrace Einstein’s observation that, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. We must learn to see the world anew”. A problem is the opposite of its answer and, by definition, cannot exist unless that answer or solution was already available.

Unless we are alert to it, the constant rehearsing of economic collapse, or any other negative positions, impacts every facet of our personal, professional, corporate and national mindset. MINDSET is defined by Webster as, “a fixed way of thinking; that which determines and influences events and circumstances”. “Events and circumstances” comprise everything we experience in our lives.

The fact that all this is true is academic until you can make it work in YOUR consciousness. Then, and only then, will you prove them to be true and viable in your world of “events and circumstances”.

It is your responsibility to maintain this mindset and allow the “controlling forces” to express themselves in and as your individual experience. You determine your own circumstances. If you were to focus your efforts on attempting to improve bad economic conditions you would be giving reality to the unreal and contribute to compounding the problem rather than awakening to a solution.

With more than 50 years’ experience as a creative consultant, with particular expertise in problem solving, I have proven that nothing exists external to your own individual conscious awareness. The events and circumstances that appear external to you are effects and effects, by law, cannot induce any action of their own. They are not now, never have been and never will be a cause. They are without power or authority and must be rejected as spontaneously as you reject the idea that a mirage will put water on the desert.

From your new altitude of contemplation, there is nothing to improve, adjust, heal or change. “The creative and controlling forces of the universe” are already complete and perfect and you are the full beneficiary of this irreversible law. When the power of these facts impact your inner feeling, watch your “world” change and be in concert with the natural rhythm and balance of the universe!

Now that the conventions are over it is time for us to sort it all out. Now it’s our turn. Now we, individually and in the privacy of our own mind, must separate ourselves from all the rhetoric, empty promises, false claims, hoopla and the emotional impact of a well-planned show, and take time to think.

We have all been asked by friends and associates what we thought about the conventions, who we are going to vote for and, more often than not, we are told how they feel, who they are going to vote for and why.

Of course, we must all do our homework, listen to intelligent analyses and evaluate each candidate on his or her qualifications independent of personality or frequency of media exposure. To help us cut to the chase, I saw a poster that I felt was quite telling. It pointed out:

SMALL minds discuss people

AVERAGE minds discuss events

GREAT minds discuss ideas

Throughout all recorded history, nothing was ever accomplished, no need was ever met and no problem was ever solved that didn’t begin with an IDEA. The importance of our electoral process demands that we not be influenced by anything other than the impersonal implementation of right ideas.

Be alert that you treat all the political rhetoric as you would any controversial elements of a problem. Reject their claims and focus on the universe’s underlying natural laws and principles, which Webster tells us are “controlling forces of the universe”. Adhering to this mindset you will be led to make intelligent decisions based solely on impersonal principles and not on the emotional impact of skilled orators and clever speech writers.

Take time to think and when you enter the voting booth, let “the controlling forces of the universe” cast its vote through you.

It’s quite likely they are as oblivious to our people problems as we are to their fish problems. But we are. You and I don’t live the way fish do. We have normal activities that comprise a continuity of changing situations that we handle with ease. Then, once in a while, a situation comes along that we can’t handle quite so easily.

Our instinctive reaction is to resist the problem’s invasion into our otherwise peaceful life. We put up a protective wall against it. Now the struggle begins. This confrontational approach to problem solving is negatively oriented and produces negative results in the form of stress, anxiety and frustration .

These situations we call “problems” (“an intricate, unsettled question without an answer; a question raised for inquiry, consideration or solution”. Webster) come to us spontaneously without any apparent fault of our own. However, as soon as the answer or solution is known, the problem disappears just as spontaneously. Our job is to set in motion those steps necessary that will reveal the right answer.

As Einstein noted, “No problem can be resolved from the same level of consciousness that created it. We must lean to see the world anew”. To be spontaneously successful, we must depart from the accepted, habitual confrontational method and approach problem solving as a logical continuity of reason, facts and natural, scientific laws and principles.

Take an objective look at the world around you and realize that it is comprised of opposites. Up & down, left & right, assets & liabilities, freedom & bondage, positive & negative, etc., etc. Try as you may, I doubt that you can imagine anything that does not have an implied opposite. OPPOSITES are defined by Webster as, “elements that are so far apart and diverse as to be totally irreconcilable one to the other”.

A black square and a white circle are symbolic of opposites. They cannot be justified one to the other. One cannot be described in terms of the other. The square is black, has finite dimensions and is comprised of straight sides and square corners. The circle is white and comprises one continuous curve without beginning or ending. In every sense of the word, they are, and always will be, opposites. By their very nature and definition they cannot be commingled. You can have one or the other, but you can no more have them both at the same time than you can experience darkness in the presence of light.

It is when we attempt to justify two opposites that problems occur.

Herein lies the secret to problem solving. Equate the problem to the square and the solution or answer to the circle. They are OPPOSITES and cannot be justified one to the other. The problem is negative and the answer or solution is positive. By Webster’s definition anything negative is not a “something” of itself, but is “something that is the opposite or negation of something”. As such, in order for it to claim an existence, there must be a positive “something” (a positive answer or solution) to be negative about. According to Webster, anything positive is, “that which is real, not speculative, not fictitious and logically affirmative”.

The only conclusion we can draw is that the entire universe is infinitely and singularly “real, not speculative and logically affirmative”; it is complete and totally devoid of any opposite. Webster defines universe as, “The whole body of things observed and assumed including the whole without limit or exception and accruing everywhere”.

The only place a problem can even seem to exist is in your own consciousness. You and you alone are uniquely aware of the content of your consciousness. This mindset determines the events and circumstances that comprise your life experiences.

I know how abstract, unrealistic, impractical and over simplistic this perspective sounds but for more than 50 years I have proven its viability in my own personal and professional experiences and to the benefit of a widely diverse client base that has included many of the giants of American business.

Its efficacy is no more subject to debate than the fact that 2 + 2 = 4. It is the law which is defined by Webster as, “a rule or principle that always works (and is) enforced by a governing authority”.

“Problem solving” is really a misnomer. Any belief or concept we identify as a “problem” is really a nonentity and has no real existence and therefore there is no law to support it. We don’t deny its appearance but we do deny its reality. It is tantamount to seeing the railroad tracks meet at the horizon. We are aware of its appearance but through intelligent reasoning, we are not influenced by it. We “destroy” a problem by seeing it as a no-thing… a mirage.

This resolving is not confrontational. All we need to do is quietly reside in the infinity of our consciousness (the circle) and provide the proper mental environment that will allow the answer or solution to reveal itself.

Now, with the pressure off, you can devote your time to other pursuits. I don’t wish them any bad luck, but perhaps you could go fishing and give those guys something to think about.

In this condition of complete mental isolation, we realize that pure consciousness is the only substance and exists only within ourselves… not somewhere “out there”. It is infinite in scope and is without any physical dimension. By definition it is “spiritual” without any ecclesiastical connotation. Webster defines “spiritual” as that which is, “incorporeal; a life-giving force; an animating principle; having no material body or form”. This is our true identity.

But there is a seeming paradox.

We also seem to be aware of an opposite, finite, structured material universe that exist outside of us. This is an example of the Law of Opposites.

The Law of Opposites is a natural law, which states that everything of which we are aware is opposed or challenged by some implied opposite. OPPOSITES are defined by Webster as,

“elements that are so far apart and diverse as to be totally

irreconcilable; clear and unequivocal diametric opposition”.

Opposites cannot be commingled or be justified one to the other. Where one is real, its opposite is unreal. They are opposites. Opposites abound everywhere: black and white, assets and liabilities, profit and loss, short and tall, light and darkness, positive and negative and on and on and on. I doubt that you can think of anything that does not have an implied opposite.

To effectively articulate this paradox in words is next to impossible. One cannot describe infinity in finite terms. It would be like trying to describe light from a premise of darkness. It is not unlike the situation wherein a blind man attempts to discern the size and shape of a snowflake by touching it. The very act of touching the snowflake completely changes its characteristics and makes any possible comparison impossible.

Logic demands that we accept the fact that what appears as an external world is, in reality, only an inverted projection of its infinite, internal cause. It would be a contradiction of terms to suppose that there could be anything beyond infinity. We must discipline ourselves to be constantly aware of this phenomenon of opposites and strive to discern the difference between the real, infinite, all-inclusive consciousness on the one hand and the finite, limited, fictitious appearance of events and circumstances on the other. Trying to justify these opposites is the reason we have so much conflict and chaos in the world.

If we are to experience a world where none of its chaos, conflicts threats and predictions of doom will “come nigh thy dwelling place”, we must claim our true identity, consciously align ourselves with the “creative and controlling forces of the universe” and rejoice in experiencing a freedom beyond anything the “world” can offer.
